Welcome to The University of Wisconsin / Morrie Waud Equine Center

The Center is a 13,000 square foot hospital designed specifically for the evaluation and treatment of horses. Our on-site staff of veterinary doctors and surgeons provides comprehensive critical care and specialty treatment 24/7.
The Center is affiliated with the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine, one of America's leading institutions for the study of veterinary medicine, and serves as an educational platform for the graduate students and faculty of the University. Veterinary specialists from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine augment our on-site team, and specialty consultations can be scheduled in the fields of equine cardiology, ophthalmology, internal medicine, oncology, dermatology and dentistry.
The Center is located on a 55-acre tract of rolling land, close to Interstates I-90 and I-43, between Lake Geneva and Madison, Wisconsin.
As a non-profit, tax-exempt organization, any revenues exceeding operating costs are donated directly to The UW School of Veterinary Medicine to advance their research and educational programs.
