Dr. Aloisio C. Bueno, MV, MS, DACVS

Staff Surgeon

Dr. Bueno is a native of Brazil. He received his veterinary degree from Unoeste University in 1992, then spent two years in a private equine practice before completing a one-year internship in equine medicine and surgery at Louisiana State University (LSU) in 1995.

Following his internship, Dr. Bueno completed his MS degree at LSU in 1998. He completed a one-year large-animal fellowship at Oregon State University in 1999, and then a three-year equine surgery residency program at the University of California-Davis in 2002. Dr. Bueno returned to LSU in 2002 as a clinical instructor in equine surgery. He successful completed his specialty board certification through the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) in 2003.
